Our Mission
"For the Love of Paws" mission is to humanely minimize the overpopulation and abandonment of domestic animals in our local community. By confronting this issue, we will offer assistance to animals, their keepers and the local community through education, awareness campaigns, and low cost or near free spaying and neutering to local community citizens with low incomes along with assisting the working class.
Our nonprofit organization will initially use a voucher program utilizing our local community veterinarians. With volunteers we will promote a Spaying/Neutering and Pet Responsibility Awareness Campaign to educate children. A Pet Pantry and local vet assistance to animal foster parents in conjunction with a our pet adoption program is our endeavor. Along with professional veterinarian services in our county, we strive to abolish animal abandonment through the associate with facilities in neighboring counties when possible.

Vet expenses such as vaccinations and spay and neuter are a large expense for our nonprofit organization. On average it cost about $100 per animal just for veterinary care. That does not include the cost of food, flea and heartworm prevention, medications if the animal is sick or treatment if they are injured
Why sponsor?
To help dogs like Annie be spayed/neutered and keep them healthy giving them a better chance being adopted into a forever home.
Who can sponsor?
Anyone....businesses, churches, youth organizations, individual’s friends, families or coworkers.
How to sponsor?
Start a fund for your sponsored rescue and collect monetary donations.

Volunteer, Donate, Fundraise
Unfortunately For the Love of Paws doesn’t yet have all of the resources to care for the many stray and needy animals in Scott County. We are making great progress and networking with other rescues and applying for government grant programs to help all the animals and pet owners in our community. Even with the help of other rescues and grant money we have applied for that isn’t and will not be enough. We need the support of our community.
If you are able to donate or volunteer here are a few of the things we need the most:
- Volunteers to help with everything from administrative assistance, fundraising, fostering, adoptions and grooming.
- Monetary donations for veterinary care, vaccinations and our spay and neuter program.
- Any pet food, flea, tick, heartworm medications that you may have but no longer need.
- New and gently used pet supplies such as collars, leashes, kennels, food & water bowls.
- Office supplies and equipment. Used ink cartridges that we can turn in for credit to purchase office supplies.
